I have always wanted to be an inventor, I used to build weird machines or even disassemble every single object that my parents gave me while growing up.
Then I realized that mechanics and electronics weren't my passion...
Andrea La Mendola was born in Torino, Italy.
He achieved his Master Degree in Media and Cinema Engineering at Polytechnic of Torino and the the film directing certificate at UCLA ext, University of Los Angeles.
He is known for his unique style in storytelling that combines strong messages to entertaining stories through a really personal vision.
He got recognition in many film festivals around the world where he won different awards (Best Italian Short movie at MIFF, Milan International Film Festival,
Best International Short Movie, Best Director and Actor at the Los Angeles Movie Awards and others).
He co-founded the cinema production company Indyca where he works as producer, screenwriter and director.
He is based in Los Angeles working in the Industry.
So I started to invent stories, well, writing stories, building and designing the world around them, disassembling them to find the right details and rebuilding in my own way, with my vision.
